Our story didn’t begin with First National. It began with a belief that real estate could be done differently.

Helen Munro founded Helen Munro Property with a simple but powerful philosophy...... put people first!

She wanted to create a real estate business that genuinely cared about its clients, challenged the traditional way of doing things and wasn’t afraid to find a better way. A business built not simply around property, but around people, relationships and trust.

Over the years, that philosophy shaped Helen Munro Property into the business it became and created a culture that continues today.
When Tracy Crome stepped into the role of Principal, she was determined to protect what made the business special while continuing to evolve it for the future.

For Tracy, that meant building on Helen’s original vision.

Clients would continue to come first. Staff would be supported, valued and encouraged to play to their individual strengths. New technology and innovative marketing would be embraced.

And the team would continue to challenge the traditional real estate model whenever there was a better way to deliver for our clients.

As the business grew and the industry changed, we began thinking about what the next chapter should look like.

We wanted greater resources, stronger technology, more opportunities for our people and the ability to connect our clients with a much wider network, without losing the local relationships, independence of thought and genuine care that had defined us from the beginning.

That search led us to First National.

Becoming First National Townsville isn’t about leaving our history behind. It’s about taking everything Helen started, everything our team has built and everything our clients have trusted us with, and giving it an even stronger platform for the future.

We’re still the local people who know Townsville.

We’re still prepared to do things differently.
